Kardex Hiring for Director New Business Australia & NZ at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

Kardex VCA Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Director New Business to lead and manage a lean sales team with full P&L responsibility to drive growth, aligning to the strategic plan for Australia & New Zealand. The person will also lead the business development, customer relationship management and new project realization in the country.

The role is preferred to be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Position s to the Head of Region / Regional Director New Business for APAC.

Kardex Remstar is part of Kardex Group, a global industry partner for intralogistics solutions and a leading supplier of automated storage solutions and material handling systems. We develop, produce and maintain dynamic storage and retrieval systems.

Your tasks and responisbilities:

Sales & Business Development

• Lead the New Business organization in Australia & New Zealand for all business aspects, including finance aspects to the set and agreed budget/targets.
• Participate in development and implementation of strategies, budgets, investments, and objectives of Kardex Remstar, Australia & New Zealand together with the other members of the local management team, managers and the regional team.
• Develop and implement the sales and Go-to-Marketing strategies that include volumes, product mix, market segment, distribution channels and key account management.
• Execute and monitor agreed budget plans and ensure elaboration of proper corrective measures in case of deviations.
• Take ownership of key projects of existing and potential new customers.
• Ensure observation and analysis of defined markets concerning market development, competitors’ activity, price trends and customers’ requirements in country.
• Plan, drive and manage sales activities for fulfilment of agreed sales plans, through hands-on sales team management.
• Ensure respectively negotiation with customers about terms, conditions, deliveries, quality issues, etc. and sign-off the contracts are done within defined guidelines and in agreement with Finance.

Project Realization

• Direct the realization organization and ensure execution of its responsibility, not limited to installation, commissioning, handover to customer, cash collection, claim management and contract administration.
• Identify, assess and check customer needs concerning possibilities for the project realization. Elaborate the proposal based on the findings, the company and group product portfolio, and customers’ technical specification.
• Ensure respectively manage customer’s complaints and participate in the identification of the problems in cooperation with Life Cycle Service and Supply Chain/Manufacturing teams.

Organizational Development

• Drive implementation and effective usage of company tools and processes such as CRM, Salesforce, Business Process Management, etc.
• Select, motivate, and develop employees within the area of delegation.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master Degree/MBA will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in business and sales management, key account and channel management with high level of customer contact.
• Min 10 years of experience in Intralogistics or related fields, with high exposure to retail, e-commerce, 3PL, transportation, government bodies and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong commercial background with solid technical understanding.
• Formally trained in CRM/Salesforce and Sales Management preferably in Miller Heiman Sales Methodology.
• Experience in leading teams of 5 – 10 people.
• High level of exposure to international environment, cultural experience, leadership experience, networking experience and innovation.
• Ability to travel frequently domestically. Occasional international travel for business meeting and training.
• Ability to coordinate with cross functional departments (Life Cycle Service, Finance & Admin, Realization Project Management etc.)
• Ability to develop a team and collaborate effectively.
• English native or fluent (both speaking and writing).
