K&C is seeking a highly talented Software Engineer. The ideal candidate must have programming experience with C/C++ or any other language that is comparable; have a solid understanding of programming paradigms (e.g., functional, object-oriented); and understand software engineering best practices.

Additional experience in one or more of the following is a nice to have. Solving quantitative problems; a strong knowledge of algorithms and computational complexity; and experience working with large data sets such as those produced by finite element and/or computational fluid dynamics codes. Experience with real-time game engines such as Unity or Unreal. Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.

A successful candidate must be able to work, think, and innovate independently in a fast-paced work environment with challenging time constraints. The ability to multi-task and work on projects that require varying skill-sets simultaneously is a must.

Candidate Requirements

· BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Related Quantitative Science Field such as Astronomy, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Biomechanics, Computational Biology, or Chemistry.

· US Citizen

· Strong math skills including linear algebra and multivariate calculus.

· Must enjoy tackling complex research problems and novel software solutions.

· Interest in solving highly technical and challenging science and engineering problems.

· Experience with C or C++, FORTRAN and LINUX OS.

· Experience with AWS or cloud-service providers

· Experience with real-time engines, such as Unity or Unreal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
