How you’ll help us succeed
As a Senior HR Advisor to business areas with a combined employee population of00-500 you’ll help our business, and the teams you support, achieve their goals
through the delivery of expert HR advice, support, problem solving and initiatives.
Advice & Employee Relations
Provide advice and support to managers in dealing with absence management,
probation, performance, conduct, capability, redundancy, grievance and other
HR and employee relations issues
Page Maintain in-depth knowledge of the legal framework within which HR
operates, evolving case law and people management best practices
Contribute to the development, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of HR
policies and practices
Create and deliver essential HR processes training to our managers and identify
other opportunities to improve awareness and understanding of HR policies and
procedures, delivering solutions such as f2f training, webinars, and written
guidance
Driving Employee Engagement
Support the development of employer brand initiatives including: corporate
responsibility, employee benefits, recruitment, induction, recognition
schemes, management and leadership development
Support activities relating to embedding our purpose and brand framework,
and how teams contribute to the achievement of our vision and goals
Build a strong connection to our company goals by supporting managers in the
development of Team Goals, KPI, individual objectives and performance
management
Support the annual Employee Engagement Survey, guiding managers with local
cascades and action planning
Provide ad hoc internal change/engagement support to managers and teams

Support the development, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of Kaplan
wide HR practices & initiatives
Contribute to the delivery of our employee equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI)
strategy
Support your HR team colleagues

Actively contribute ideas and suggestions to aid ongoing development and
continuous improvement of the HR function
What you might be doing now
Your current role, or recent roles, will have involved a significant amount of complex HR
casework and problem solving, as well as some projects, initiatives and policy
development.

As an experienced HR professional, you’ll have/be:
Significant experience of providing HR support on complex casework
Sound judgement underpinned by detailed knowledge and practical
experience of employment law, engagement tools and best practice
Strong listening and communication (verbal/written) skills
Able to establish and maintain strong relationships, and work effectively at all
levels of the organisation
Able to take on new information and quickly establish credibility
Able to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities effectively
Self-sufficient and proactive in identifying opportunities to drive us forward
Experience in using Excel to interrogate complex data (desirable)
Understanding of change management methodologies/practices (desirable)
