The role:

In this position, you will be responsible for receiving the Regional toolbox, delivering the yearly initiative calendar including NPD, with the Commercial Sales and Planning Managers (CS&P) to support the strategic direction and business objectives of the organization. You will report to the Associate Director and collaborate with the Regional Delivery Education team.

You will lead the roll out to the Education team to ensure they have the tools and content to deliver World-class education to our customers.

What you will do:

• Partner with CS&P to capture all New Product Development (NPD) and Initiatives from the Global/Regional team toolbox and adapt plans to fit local market needs. Localize Global Education Tools where applicable, work with the Regional Teams to ensure local market legal requirements are being met.
  Attend all Regional deployment team meetings provide feedback on local program success, update Manager.
• Partner with CS&P to Co-develop the go to market delivery plans across all channels (Indirect and Direct). Sell-in of NPD & Initiatives to the internal teams and external Sales partners via
  • Channel review meetings
  • Train the trainer workshops to on-broad the Educators
  • For NPD, set up Get To Know Me workshops with key educators and use learnings on usage and results to update Q&A documents and Go to market strategy
  • ASM and BB meetings
  • Customers meetings i.e. Wholesales
• Partner with the Senior Education team to analyze and develop a strong understanding of what drives customers and their business needs that lead to opportunities to increase consumption, via workalong side and field visits. These may include:
  • The salon retail environment and key drivers and learnings from other industries.
  • Salon and business owners/stylists needs and drivers
• Collaborate with SME to deliver specific projects/tools that support Sales & Education teams, emphasis on the educational deliverables. This includes the deployment and implementation of the regionally developed resources/tools that will be implemented by the country.

  • Sumarise NPD and initiative presentations
  • Sales capability

  Support your Manager and CS&M Channel Managers with the regionally aligned brand information.

• Manager the recruitment and on-boarding of new Freelancers and updating of all existing Freelancers across Kao Salon Division brands.
• Be flexible and available to work in the any territory, be able to work trade events, evening and weekends if required with reasonable notice given.

What you need:

• Hairdressing qualifications, Training experience and Capabilities skill essential.
• 5-7 years industry experience in all aspects of hairdressing including retail.
• Experience of working in an Education role essential .
• Experience in team leading and basis management.
• Have a understanding of the different personalities, salon cultures, long work days and how to prioritise work load.
• Good working and technical knowledge of colourants, treatments and haircare products.
• How to plan and run training sessions that inform, motivate and maximise the use of Kao Salon Division products.
• Collaboration & Leveraging Multi-Functional Resources – working across functions within the local organisation to coordinate efforts and tools to deliver against identified priorities.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, clear priorities and progress tied to business results in common format across geographies. Able to delivery consistently strong and inspiring presentations to small and larger audiences.
• Envision and influence the local sales organization through delivering training and plans that improve sales productivity and effectiveness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business intelligence software and Excel are required.
