Job Title: Regional Director – Consultative Sales

s to: COO

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 base plus commission

Location: Southeast Kansas (Must live in SE KS region)

KMS (Kansas Manufacturing Solutions) is a manufacturing consulting organization that implements services such as lean, continuous improvement, strategic planning, executive and supervisor training and coaching, etc. for small and medium sized manufacturers in the state of Kansas. KMS’s services and solutions help manufacturers improve their business results, bettering the communities they reside in and positively impact the Kansas economy.

KMS is looking for a self-motivated sales professional that is comfortable selling to presidents, owners, and CEOs of small to medium-sized manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have dynamic bonding and rapport skills, follows a consultative sales approach, and can comfortably schedule twenty face-to-face meetings per month. This role is a large amount of prospecting.

The Regional Director is the face of KMS to the manufacturers of Kansas. The Regional Director is responsible for an assigned geographical territory in which they manage and advise existing customers and identify and contact prospective clients for the solution investments. They own the customers’ sales cycle, generating sales proposals, managing contracts, and ensuring quality and consistent service/solution delivery. The Regional Director will also work to create awareness of KMS solutions in their territory through appropriate outreach, networking, and awareness material distribution. They perform a wide range of duties which require tact, judgment, independent action, account management and the ability to handle multiple assignments with critical timelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet or exceed sales and behavioral goals
• Build consultative relationships with Kansas manufacturing clients through business development outreach
• PROSPECTING. Meet with clients and prospects to determine their business challenges. Determine solutions to identified challenges. Select internal or external resource delivery provider(s) to meet client’s needs.
• Prepare sales proposals to include project deliverables, expected ROI, project costs and payment schedules.
• CLOSE THE SALE. Present proposals and contracts to potential customers and obtain customer signatures. Complete resource delivery provider contracts.
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT. Responsible for ongoing account management activity with regular touch points (no longer than 30 days) with client throughout the duration of the project.
• Work in concert with project manager to get status updates on project, communicate progress with client and explore any additional opportunities and set project close meetings with client.
• ADMINISTRATION. Track and sales activity using Salesforce CRM. Tracking includes but is not limited to:
• Activity logs – phone calls, virtual/in-person meetings and email communication with current and potential clients
• Managing pipeline of clients and potential clients, accurately labeling the status, and changing the status as they move through the pipeline and/or are won/lost
• Timely and accurate entry of all project related documents into Salesforce
• Prepares a variety of status ing, including sales activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
• COMMUNICATION. s on special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity.
• NETWORKING. Engage in manufacturing events, associations, and maintain community and regional relationships within defined territory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 3 years of experience developing and building a sales territory required
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Proficient computer experience
• Microsoft Office Suite experience required
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience in a relevant field combined with appropriate business experience sufficient to reflect the professional stature of KMS and to earn credibility on its behalf is preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional overnight travel required
• Day travel within territory required
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
