Kangan Institute Hiring for Head of Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning Job at Melbourne Full Time

LOCATION : Hybrid – Cremorne campus 2-3 days per week and working from home

About The Role:

Reporting to the Chief People, Culture and Strategy Officer, the Head of Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning will take full responsibility for establishing a centralised recruitment team and standing up the Workforce Planning function within Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI).

Key to this role is a strong focus on building a customer orientated team, providing leadership and guidance to the immediate team, and partnering with the Chief and Heads of, within the People Culture and Strategy team to ensure delivery of the strategy.

You will need to be an effective partner to all parts of the organisation and be willing to understand the daily activities and practices to keep driving continuous improvement. Be that ‘go-to’ person that always assists, supports, and builds the knowledge of others within the organisation.

Understanding system capabilities and how you can alter or use in different ways is crucial. You will be working with an older recruitment system that has limitations, but exciting times are ahead as a new system will need to be implemented in the coming years.

The People, Culture and Strategy team, irrelevant of role, need to be the messengers and ambassadors as we partner with each other, our stakeholders (internally and externally) and potentially new team members.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant relevant experience, including knowledge and skills over a broad range of leadership activities
• Been part of major change within an organisation such as implementing the recruitment function
• Extensive and effective leadership experience leading a small team
• Talent Acquisition experience hiring a wide range of roles
• A solid understanding of workforce planning to implement the function in the organisation
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to deal sensitively with employees, and effectively engage stakeholders
• Whole-of-organisation leadership through advanced knowledge and skills, acquired from extensive management experience
• Focus on data-driven decision-making to surface and solve the right problems
• The ability to create a culture of high-performance and accountability, with a disciplined focus on the execution of strategy
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience
• Proven experience in identifying and managing risk
