Kane Wound Care LLC Hiring for Medical Transcriptionist at Remote Full Time

About the Role:

The Medical Transcriptionists will work under the direction of the Director of Medical Transcriptionist. This role is responsible for transcribing written medical s sent by physicians, Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare practitioners in the field of wound care. Preference for candidates from the West coast time zone. One FT position available and hours are approximately Monday-Friday 10 AM-7 PM eastern

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Returns s in electronic form for physician’s review, signature, and corrections and for inclusion in patients’ medical records
• Reviews and edits transcribed s for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology
• Transcribes charts for a variety of medical s, such as patient histories, physical examinations, emergency room visits, operations, chart reviews, consultation, or discharge summaries
• Distinguishes between homonyms and recognize inconsistencies and mistakes in medical terms, referring to dictionaries, drug references, and other sources on anatomy, physiology, and medicine if directed by physicians and other healthcare practitioners

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required
• Medical Terminology required
• 3+ years’ experience/training must be in transcribing medical records and s requiring knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
