Position Summary: Kalman Manufacturing is a Precision CNC machine shop looking for an account manager to support the development and defense of revenues at our key customer accounts. As a member of the commercial team, the account manager will develop the necessary relationships with the client to be able to evaluate the client’s current and future business needs, understand Kalman’s technical and operational capabilities, and synthesize these into potential commercial and operational activities to support the account and defend our position.

The account manager will be responsible for participating in the alignment of Kalman’s business model with the client’s operational and technical roadmaps, developing strategies to satisfy complex and multi-functional customer requirements with other Kalman functional stakeholders, analyzing business data to determine if enacted strategies are successful or in need of improvement, and presenting commercial and technical responses to senior managers, both external and internal. Additionally, the account manager will support – as needed – sales operations activities related to the accounts they are responsible for, such as presenting quotations, prioritizing delivery dates of specific product to the client, and answering client questions. As the primary customer contact, the account manager has significant influence on Kalman Manufacturing’s business and performance in this role is highly visible. Strong performance will be highly valued and may lead to increased levels of responsibility and corresponding career advancement.

This position is 50% in the office building or home office and 50% in the field. Must be located in the Bay Area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate business or STEM fields
• 5 years of experience in account management or inside sales
• Demonstrated ability to create fruitful relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

• Exceptional analytical skills for data analysis and synthesis
• Strong communication capabilities, including demonstrated ability to produce presentations and deliver them to senior managers
• Ability to manage tasks such that account manager can keep Kalman’s responses to customer requirements on time and on topic.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools

Preferred Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in account management or inside sales
• Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as Medical Device.
• Significant experience in production fabrication processes
• Experience with machine shop processes

Pay: $100,000.00 – $134,000.00 per year
