ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Associate, HR Business Partner is a vital role whereby you will be the first point of contact for HR related inquiries and will provide a strong service level to all internal employees. You will also be responsible for the administration and support of employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, HR programs, policy, employee engagement/communications, benefits, recruitment, and compensation. The ideal candidate will thrive in an ambiguous environment and has an aptitude to bring forward process and organization, while maintaining multiple competing priorities.
This role will report to the Head of HR, Canada & UK, supporting both the local UK based team and the broader EMEA team. This role will be a hybrid role supporting both a business partner and HR Operations capacity. This role is highly matrixed where it will partner with both the local business units and the global HR team to ensure there is alignment in all programs that are locally launched.
Please note that this is a flexible working role where it will be primarily remote, with the expectation that you will be based part time in our London office and/or on an as needed basis.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Acting as the first point of contact for employees, third parties, and the wider HR team on various HR subjects such as policy, programs, benefits, pay, etc.
• Primary contact for onboarding of new hires in EMEA, ensuring there is a strong process and experience for all new employees
• Support both internal stakeholders and the recruitment team to ensure there is an effective candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
• Partner with internal teams to ensure appropriate timing and processing on all employee impacting programs (payroll and benefits)
• Ensure compliance with all local regulation and legislation in relation to employment. This includes updating and maintaining physical documentation, policies, and according updates.
• Think creatively about the employee experience – find ways to improve everyday HR interaction with employees maintaining a continuous improvement mindset
• Provide coaching and advice to leaders on employee issues working with the broader HR and legal teams to develop appropriate next steps
• Support the global HR team on special projects and assignments as required
• Establish meaningful relationships, credibility and trust with internal stakeholders, peers, and global teams to support and foster a global team mentality

EDUCATION:

• 3-5 years of previous HR experience (preferably in multiple HR disciplines or in a generalist capacity)
• Experience working within an international organization that has required developing programs and policy
• Strong and detailed understanding of UK employment law and practices. Additional exposure to other EMEA working practices preferred
• Has a strong understanding of HRIS and ATS systems (Workday and Greenhouse)
• Technically savvy, proficient with gsuite and can quickly become an expert on new tools and systems. Basic skills with Excels (pivot tables and v-lookups). Has experience on basic reporting and communicating data back out to stakeholders
• Strong business acumen and presence to be consulted on critical issues with the highest confidentiality maintained
