Note: This is a supervised, entry-level student placement designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in financial analytics.

The Junior Data Analyst will support the team in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to assist with business and operational decision-making. This role provides hands-on experience with data analysis tools, reporting, and real-world datasets within the energy and trading environment.
What You Will Do
- Collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various internal and external sources
- Assisting in analyzing datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
- Supporting data entry and ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Assisting with ad hoc data analysis requests from team members
- Documenting data processes and maintaining organized datasets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business decisions
What You Will Bring
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data analysis, statistics, and data management concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have:
- Previous internship or project experience involving data analysis
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R
