Title: Finance Assistant (Reports to: Financial Controller)

Contract: Full Time, 40 hrs per week

Location: Wokingham / Remote

Salary: £25k per annum

Role Purpose – what you’ll be known for:

You are the Accounts Payable expert for Junior Adventures Group UK and its 3 trading brands (Fit For Sport Ltd, Energy Kidz Ltd, and Sherpa Kids England Ltd).

You are responsible for processing all Accounts Payable transactions for JAG UK, including supplier invoices, employee expenses, and credit/debit card transactions. You are the first port of call for suppliers and colleagues seeking payment of their invoices/expenses. You are self-motivated, organised and have excellent attention to detail.

You actively contribute to the wider Finance team by working closely together and keeping an in depth and up to date knowledge of departmental practices, working to deadlines and prioritising a varied workload.

Key Accountabilities:

• Processing Accounts Payable invoices onto Xero accounting software.
• Processing consolidated Amazon and Gompels invoices into Xero.
• Ensuring supplier invoices are validated, authorised, and paid on time.
• Following up on supplier queries.
• Reconciling bank statements to Xero transaction records.
• Processing and reconciling the Soldo (debit card) transactions, including working with Area Managers to ensure the deadlines are met.
• Processing and paying employee expense claims.
• Processing credit card and purchasing card transactions.
• Maintaining the childcare voucher receipts spreadsheet linking Finance and the Customer Relations Team.
• Maintaining the daily cash reporting spreadsheet.
• Daily revenue reporting.
• Continuous improvement and enhancement of processes.

You we’re ideally looking for:

• Experience and understanding of working in a finance team.
• Someone who can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines as well as be able to manage their own time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to be able to problem solve.
• An excellent team player as well as a good communicaton
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Previous use of Xero financial software (nice to have

• Finance qualification desirable (AAT or equivalent)
