This is a unique opportunity for Japanese/English or Mandarin/English bilingual child care providers who are starting their career and/or just looking for flexible hours working with a fun growing team. Jump On Languages is looking for talented Japanese and Mandarin Teachers for our programs including: at-home child care (we call it Language Playtime), tutoring and to provie afterschool programs at different schools. Jump On Languages has many fun-filled, adventurous programs focused on kids.

We are seeking qualified individuals to join our team this year. Our teachers are passionate about making language learning fun through hands-on activities, songs, games, outdoor fun, STEAM programs and cultural connections. Our teachers’ role is key in ensuring that children have a safe yet FUN experience learning in Japanese or Mandarin.

Duties for this position will include, but is not limited to:

• Contribute to the creation of curriculum material that can be shared with other teachers.
• Plan and carry out age-appropriate activities, cooking, games, songs, and lessons consistent with goals.
• Provide a safe, caring, fun environment for children.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Interact with parents to answer ongoing questions.
• Help prepare progress reports as necessary for families

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field (Preferred)
• Experience with Children: At least 2 years (Preferred)
• Fully bilingual Japanese/English or Mandarin/English
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Possess a skill they want to use to teach culture, like cooking, arts & crafts or music
• Pass required state and company background checks.
• Eligible to work in the US.
• Excellent Organization and Communication Skills
• Reliable transportation

This position is part-time depending on the candidate’s interest and needs and the increased interest of families for the service.

Base pay is between $22-$28/hour depending on experience and availability. We are building our benefits package and currently offer retirement benefits, flexible hours and tons of learning and growth opportunities. We offer health benefits once employees work 30+ hours/week. The position is based in Seattle and is not remote.
