Job Description: Marketing & Events Associate

About JTCC:

JTCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides tennis programs for all ages and abilities in the Washington, DC region. JTCC is looking for a dynamic, energetic individual for an entry-level position as marketing and event support. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced work environment, and has a passion for helping underserved populations. The Associate is responsible for contributing to the daily operations that shape JTCC’s vision of developing the best tennis instruction, community outreach, and club programming in the nation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Manage Marketing Calendar & Strategy
• Assist marketing & sales manager in the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns that support the organization’s strategic growth plan
• Updates and maintains JTCC’s marketing calendar that reflect paid media, public relations, special events, and integrated marketing campaigns
• Oversight of Social media
• Lead social media activities (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
• Create posts, analyze statistics, and improve follower base by 20% each year utilizing Hootsuite.
• Oversight of Website
• Maintain and update website content as required
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of information on the websites and anticipates and communicates upcoming changes
• Increase and optimize SEO by publishing new articles and content
• Manage branding and the creation of promotional materials
• Utilize graphic design expertise in the creation of print and on-line marketing materials including but not limited to: graphics, sponsorship packets, flyer’s, infographics, website design, on-line and print advertisements, posters, and print mailing.
• Work with advertising budget, strategy, creation, and implementation to achieve goals of integrated marketing campaigns
• Organize and manage photo/video drive, including capturing photos and videos as needed to promote programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, business, advertising, marketing, public relations, graphic design, or similar field
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Interest and/or knowledge of tennis is highly preferred
• Digital marketing experience is desirable
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong drive to take initiative in pursuing new projects and optimizing current operations

Required Skills:

• Strong writing skills with the ability to vary style depending on the audience
• Ambitious with a committed work ethic
• Organization and attention to detail
• Outgoing personality, a “people person”
• Proficiency in Adobe programs, Facebook & Google ads, photography/video editing, and Google Suite

• Salary commensurate with experience
