Fine Print (requirements):

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting
• Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• 0-2 years of experience as an accountant
• Preferred: 0-2 years of public accounting experience
• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate issues and to craft appropriate solutions
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of risks and internal control environment and the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of controls

Fine Print (additional):

• Prepare journal entries in accordance with the monthly close calendar while ensuring that transactions are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP and internal policies and procedures are followed
• Prepare account reconciliations in accordance with the monthly close calendar
• Generate month-end accruals by preparing supporting schedules Sage Intaact downloads, Excel pivot tables and various Excel formulas and functions
• Process accounts payable, expense reports and other disbursements weekly
• Setup and maintenance of Accounts Payables vendors within the Sage Intaact accounting system
• Assist in the processing of necessary tax filings
• Assist the accounting manager in preparing documents and interpreting financial information for management and executives
• Support the external audit process by providing requested items to the auditors and/or the Accounting Manager or Controller
• Manage the Accounts Payable subledger
• Manage the process of self-reporting to FBO’s
• Make practical recommendations for process improvements to the Accounting Manager (or Controller) while ensuring that recommendations reflect an understanding of the business

• Support special projects and department initiatives
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Coordinate/Collaborate with other departments: Finance, IT, Commercial, etc.
• Must be a self-starter that can make good independent judgments

Pay & Perks:
Compensation range is $50,000 – $55,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation. Most qualified Candidates will receive an offer near the starting point of our compensation range.
