JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you serve as an integral member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Writes clean, well-structured code supported by extensive test cases
- Ability to work independently in order to meet the committed deadlines
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 5+ years of software development experience with bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability
- Experience with Java/J2EE with a deep understanding of the language and core APIs, web services, multi-threaded/concurrent programming, design patterns, and database querying languages
- Experience with API development – Spring boot, REST API
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins & Terraform
- Familiarity with container and container orchestration such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Good understanding of non-functional aspects such as Performance testing, Unit testing and Automation testing
- Exposure to cloud technologies AWS, Terraform
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in architecture and design of micro services is a plus
- Exposure to RDMS and No SQL databases
- Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like ReactJS.
- Knowledge in .Net
