Our team is part of JP Morgan’s cybersecurity group and specialises in data protection and code scanning . We have developed a successful data encryption solution, utilised by many other applications in the firm to keep their data safe. We are progressing the next generation of our offering with the aim of bringing encryption capabilities to a wider user base via increased utilisation of both private and public cloud technologies. We also run a firmwide scanning solution that detects open source and code level vulnerabilities in thousands of internally developer applications.

The world of cybersecurity involves adapting to a constantly changing world; as part of our team you will be thinking both how to solve problems now and for the next generation of threats.

This role presents the perfect opportunity for software developers looking to begin a career in cybersecurity. While this role resides in our cybersecurity group no previous experience with cybersecurity is required. However, the successful candidate can expect to gain cyber security experience in areas such as cryptography, key management, authentication and authorisation.

The products you develop will be used by developers just like you. This provides a rewarding challenge as you can bring your own experience to bear. We aim to reduce developer friction as much as possible through easy-to-use, clean APIs and first-class documentation.

While you will continue the evolution of our existing SDKs and microservices, this role is also an exciting opportunity to join us as we progress through the next generation of our platform.

This role requires the following skills:

• Java
• Automated testing

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous but are not required:

• Spring Boot
• Agile development methodology (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
• Microservices development
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Continuous integration
• Automated deployment
• Any Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution
• Any Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution
