An HR Advisor is required to provide support for all employee matters, engagement, recruitment and development. Candidates with experience of monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation would be well received.

Due to increased workloads this company, one of the world’s first developers and integrators of hydrogen solutions, focusing on engineering, hydrogen infrastructure, industrial, on-road, off-road, and marine applications, requires a proactive HR Advisor, based in Shenfield, to provide advice and play a major role in work reviews and change processes. As an HR Advisor you will be required to:

Deal with various HR queries throughout the business

Review and update job descriptions

Advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies

Train managers on candidate interview evaluation techniques

Monitor key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates

Negotiate terms and conditions of employment with staff

Use HR information systems to access, input and compile data

Identify staff/ management development needs

Suggest new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations (e.g. ATS and HRIS software)

Manage staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations

Research and recommend performance evaluation methods (e.g. employee appraisal systems)

Support the Senior Management with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary

Drive the business performance in relation to the organisational culture that reflects the company values

The HR Advisor should have the following skills or experience:

Proven work experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant or similar role

Extensive knowledge of HR policies and UK employment law

Organisational and administrative skills

Ability to advise and work with senior members of staff

Hands-on experience with IT programmes and HR systems

Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business

Driven and determined and interested in understanding the industry and HR trends

Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly
