Description

Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida is a private, medical practice specializing in Orthopedics, Spine and Pain Management. This is a high volume, fast paced clinic that thrives on providing exceptional patient care and service with locations in Fort Myers and Naples, FL.

This role serves as an Assistant to the primary, Clinical Manager in the vital function of developing and supporting administrative and operational tasks within the clinics.

In this role, you will collaborate with a variety of practitioners, department managers and clinical employees to guarantee they have the necessary resources, supplies, equipment and direction to deliver the highest quality of care. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential as you execute multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Job Functions:

• Develop and oversee clinical employee schedules to ensure appropriate clinical support
• Verify clinical payroll before submission (fix punches, alert overtime etc.)
• Support the clinical staff in clinics, triage and surgery scheduling
• Work as a medical assistant float, from time to time when needed
• Gain competency in the management of clinical supplies
• Attend and contribute to departmental meetings (and follow up)
• Pre screen, organize in-person interviews and assist in the evaluation of clinical recruits
• Assist with clinical training and curriculum
• Assist in the onboarding and support of new practitioners to the clinic
• Implement new, clinical procedures across the facility when necessary
• Support the Clinical Manager as necessary

Requirements

• Prior, proven work experience as a clinical lead, medical assistant, LPN, RN or similar type role
• Strong leader with a “solve it” attitude
• Innovative thinker with solid conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask
• Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills
• Expertise in working under pressure and reacting effectively to changing situations
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant training or experience in basic medical clinical and administrative skills
• Some travel between Fort Myers and Naples clinics periodically required
• Previous EMR experience a must (Athena experience a plus)
