POSITION SUMMARY
The Company HR Manager provides HR direction and support related to employee relations, talent management, and organizational development. Manages the day-to-day operations of the HR Office. Develops and implements HR policies and programs to support the organization’s business and improvement goals and objectives. Leads/drives HR projects to completion by working with functional leaders across the organization. Supports Operations by implementing Human Resources programs pertinent to the effective and efficient production of product. Coordinates and administers existing policies relating to all phases of Human Resources to ensure compliance with company policy and with State and Federal regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and/or manage Human Resources programs and services; including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention, completing personnel transactions, and labor relations.
2. Identifies legal requirements and government ing regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and ing comply.
3. Instructs management personnel in regard to legal compliance in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and workplace harassment issues.
4. Maintains recordkeeping functions for Workers Compensation.
5. Maintain various ing systems (Oracle, ATM, Approach, CRS, IMPACT, Excel).
6. Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting orientation, reviewing company policies, gathering payroll information, and explaining and obtaining signatures as required for Company Policies. Organizes on-boarding orientation for new administrative/management employees to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
7. Conducts benefit enrollment meetings to educate employees by explaining benefit programs. Monitors website enrollment and assists employees with enrollment issues. Maintains knowledge of Web-Based Benefit System.
8. Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
9. Liaison between company and corporate HR to ensure company HR Policies, Benefits, or Services align.
10. Ensures internal policies (vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, FMLA, and employee assistance) are administered in compliance with each program governing plan.
11. Implements and oversees goal setting and performance review programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
12. Works directly with managers and employees to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions.
13. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Facilitate solutions to employee and leadership issues.
14. Manage employee relations issues to include disciplinary, employee performance, restructuring, and terminations. Provide organizational development and change management support throughout the organization.
15. Heads Disciplinary Action Committee [DAC] for the purpose of administering Attendance and Disciplinary Program with consistency and fairness.
16. Employee relations in terms of responding to questions or concerns.
17. Provide organizational development and change management support throughout the organization.
18. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
19. Manage specific projects as determined in the HR strategic planning process.
20. Maintain a working knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends in employment laws and regulations. Identify opportunities for HR to add value.
21. Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
22. Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping Human Resources and Worker’s Compensation information confidential.
23. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related discipline; or 5-7 years related and progressive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM or PHR certification preferred.

10. Proficient in Microsoft Office & HRIS.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Spends 85% of time in an office environment and 15% of time in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to possible shop hazards that include high noise, high heat, heavy machinery and shop traffic. Typical work environment is a fast-paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
