The Client

My client, a successful and growing Logistics business, is seeking a full-time HR Assistant to support the provision of an effective and efficient HR service. You will be part of a team based hybrid, with the HR hub in Sutton Coldfield.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the HR Advisors and Head of HR in all aspects of HR, including recruitment

• Prepare all new starter contracts, contract changes, leavers’ paperwork, job descriptions, HR policies and forms

• Have the ability to build and maintain excellent and credible relationships with managers and employees.

• Support with employee relations issues, including note-taking during disciplinary, grievance and dismissal meetings

• Support the Learning & Development of staff

• Liaise with Payroll on any pay queries

• Manage all Right to Work status

• Support the induction of new starters

• Deal with all administrative aspects of the appraisal process

• Manage the HR system ensuring data is accurately uploaded

• Other tasks and responsibilities as required

Person profile

• Some experience in an HR administrative capacity

• Ideally working towards CIPD qualification or interest in doing so

• Positive, proactive attitude

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, managing uncertainty

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00 per year
