As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the monthly accounting, reporting and subsequent reviews with the business for the areas assigned to the position are completed in an accurate and timely manner according to the close calendar and schedule agreed with the business. Working to develop and improving processes, and with internal SSC and external business stakeholders to continuously improve team performance and build satisfaction.

Your responsibilities:

• Working with the businesses and others in the SSC to ensure the accurate completion of month end accounts and reporting according to the agreed month-end close calendar

• Preparation of monthly, half and full year reporting packs with and for business units

• Assisting in the annual preparation of tax packs businesses and working with the Group Tax function to resolve any queries;

• Assist with both internal and external audits;

• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders and delivering exemplary customer service for the SSC

• Actively engaging in continuous improvement activities to drive process/controls improvement and efficiencies

Requirements for the role:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA (Pref) or CIMA, alternatively Part Qualified + good experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

• Ability to plan and manage workload to meet tight deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a diverse and dispersed team

• 2-5 years of experience in Financial Accounting role in an MNC environment
