The Supply Planning Manager will be facilitating the integration of commercial requirements with End to End Supply Chain business partners while delivering key business results: sales, service (UFR), finished goods inventory, slow moving and obsolete inventory, forecast accuracy and compliance. Includes, but not limited to seasonal/scenario planning, new product introductions, end of life management, customer event planning, business continuity planning, vulnerability business impact planning & process improvements.
The Supply Planning Manager will participate in Regional Supply S&OPs and Regional Demand MBRs for processes that are critical in the delivery of key business metrics. The position collaborates with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Project Management, Customer Logistics Services, External and Internal Manufacturing site leadership, Affiliate J&J, Commercial Leadership and other Supply Chain functions. In addition, the role supports advancing Regional and Global Supply Chain capabilities through the development of people, processes and systems solutions aligned to support the current and future business environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain employee development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for direct reports and will work with Leadership to continually develop organization design improvements for the department while maintaining employee training compliance requirements for self and team. Will be an active leader and participant to ensure execution of regional initiatives as it pertains to the recruitment and development of talent in the region.
Inventory/SLOB Management – Partnering with Regional Demand, Regional Inventory and Regional Supply, develop the inventory strategy for the assigned Franchise(s): Includes entitlement, inventory business planning, projection roll up to squad/franchise/country level and corrective action planning as appropriate. Also responsible for coordinating SLOB action plans with Regional Demand, Regional Inventory, Regional Supply and Sales Operations. Includes Business Planning, routine monitoring/reporting, corrective action planning and dispositioning.
Seasonal/Scenario Planning – Lead seasonal planning process, strategy setting, and communication/alignment across SC functions where applicable. Incorporate strategy in business planning for inventory and volume.
Represent assigned franchise during vulnerability reviews and action planning. Collaborate with Regional Supply to understand future vulnerability and partner with Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Commercial Leadership and CLS to take customer management and demand shaping actions as appropriate.
New Product E2E ownership – Represent SC at NPI governance forums with a lens to enabling solutions, risk management and alignment across Demand, Supply, TC and PM. Lead the strategy and plan for NPI for first 6 months partnering closely with Demand and Supply Planning.
S&OP/IBP participation representing the assigned Franchise(s) lens: Serve as an integration point between Commercial S&OP and site oriented iS&OP, with an objective to ensure strategy alignment, constraint resolution and effective product life cycle management between Commercial and Supply partners.
Represent Supply Chain on Business Initiatives such as, but not limited to Acquisitions/Divestitures, Cross Functional Continuous Improvement, Regional/Global Supply Chain Planning Capabilities, Commercial Channel Development
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with a focus in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, an Advance Degree is preferred
Required:
5 Years Diverse experience across Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Support, Project Management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications is required.
Experience and proficiency of SAP, APO, or other forecasting/planning software is required.
Demonstrated strong understanding of end to end processes (Supply to Customer) and associated analytics is required.
Demonstrated track record of delivering business results as an outcome of cross functional collaboration, leading through ambiguity and complexity in a matrixed regional leadership environment.
Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
Experience leading a planning team in a manufacturing environment
Deep knowledge of capacity management
Up to 15% domestic and some international travel is required. Expected to be mobile and able to travel locally in order to visit suppliers on-site.
