As a Talent function, our role is to influence and guide talent through the organisation, create different perspectives and help people navigate and develop for the future.

As such we are currently recruiting for the Head of Talent, Australia to develop and implement the function strategy within region and aligned to the broader global Talent strategy. This role is responsible for driving talent development, talent mobility, leadership excellence and an inclusive culture across the region.

This role has oversight of Talent, Learning & Inclusion for the region and will also work collaboratively with global areas of practice to deliver organisational goals.

In this role you will:

• Establish and lead a cohesive and collaborative regional Talent team that balances the needs of the region with the goals of the organisation.
• Develop and implement a regional Talent strategy that builds workforce capability for the future and aligns to the Global People Plan.
• Drive the mobility of talent across all lines of business and at all levels of the organisation, both within region and across regions.
• Provide talent insights and expertise to the People & Culture function and the business to build workforce capability for the future.
• Take ownership for implementation of our Listening Strategy within region and ensure that the business take appropriate actions based on survey results.
• Ensure that our employee base reflects the communities in which we operate (ie. Gender, race) and that our culture is inclusive and enables everyone to thrive.
• Lead the P&C interventions in support of the Reconciliation Action Plan objectives.
• Develop and implement the Australian Learning strategy, aligned with the Group Learning Strategy, and in support of developing the Mission Critical Capabilities.
• Leverage global learning solutions to deliver on the Learning strategy and where required oversee third party providers.
• Maintain the Coaching panel for Australia and ensure it is being utilised to maximise ROI in alignment to the talent needs of the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
• An experienced people leader with demonstrated experience leading a talent or people & culture team.
• Experience in program management and leveraging digital solutions to optimize outcomes
• Deep knowledge of HR best practice, with particular focus on talent development, L&D and organisational development
• Future focus with growth mindset
• Agile approach to problem solving
