Your Responsibilities:

As a Facilities Electrical Engineer for John Deere Foundry, located in Waterloo IA, you will provide electrical engineering support to the Foundry Process Equipment for modifications and improvements. In addition, you will:

• Provide electrical engineering support
• interface and coordinate with partner organizations, facilities construction, maintenance personnel, and other engineering and design team members to develop engineering schematics, cost materials and labor, project timeline (s) and maintain integrity of engineering specifications during actual construction
• Implement equipment and process modifications and repairs to improve reliability, efficiency, quality, productivity, and safety
• Maintain documentation to enable best practices with other maintenance projects and satisfy compliance requirements
• Oversee project coordination for the installation of process equipment and general expense projects in an industrial environment. This includes: Estimating project costs

Writing capital requests
Interfacing with vendors and process owners
Analyze manufacturer recommendations to create new preventative maintenance plans to optimize equipment uptime
Designing and detailing bid and construction drawings and documentation

What Skills You Need:

• 3 or more years of experience estimating jobs
• 3 or more years of experience with project management, including budgeting and implementation
• Demonstrated leadership capability
• Proven ability to work on and with a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Background in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering
• Ability and willingness to support a multi-shift operational facility, including providing off-shift support during times of project integration

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Strong working knowledge of Industrial Power systems including hydraulic, compressed air, natural gas, and electrical systems
• Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools

Education:

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Automation), equivalent technical disciplines, or equivalent experience in a related career field
• Equivalent experience will include 5+ years of maintenance responsibilities in a heavy industrial environment
