The Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team – someone who will manage key aspects of our accounting and finance operations as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting/finance, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly accounting process, including the preparation of accounting entries, account reconciliations and assembly of financial statements
• Perform variance analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts to uncover trends and opportunities for management
• Manage the software subscription billing process by ensuring the timely and accurate invoicing and collections from clients
• Review and audit operating expenses and cash disbursements periodically to ensure oversight and control of company spending
• Oversee the accounts payable process by ensuring vendor invoices are organized, accounted correctly and paid on time
• Organize client information for the year-end 1099 tax filings
• Assist with the implementation of new accounting processes and help identify areas of continuous improvement
• Work cross-functionally to perform ad-hoc projects and analyses
• Maintain compliance with and support the enhancement of internal controls
• Serve as backup to other Finance team members as needed

Candidate Profile

• A degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 2 years of accounting-related experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets experience
• Excellent communicator, professional demeanor, strong work ethic, detail-oriented and committed to excellence
• Strong analytical and technical skills, comfortable aggregating and manipulating large data sets
• Experience with Xero and/or QuickBooks preferred
