What this opportunity involves:
Based on account in Melbourne CBD, we are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will assist in monthly reporting with detailed analysis and commentary to budget and forecast.
This role is a key member within the finance team where you will manage the budget and forecast process and also be seen providing detailed analysis in client queries.
What this role involves:
Coordination of the month end accruals and reporting process; with detailed analysis and commentary to budget and forecast and for the delivery to the client.
Coordination of monthly early estimates reporting (mid-month) to identify issues early and mitigate any potential risks
Management of forecast and annual budget processes including establishment of key data, assumptions, owning the process and key stakeholders, analysis and reporting of outcomes
Actively working with the key portfolio leads to manage and achieve the budget and the forecast; this may entail working with them to identify potential risks and opportunities; and ensuring that they have visibility to their results
Liaise with the Business Analytics team to ensure financial data is aligned for BI reporting including data governance audits
Support the implementation of TM1 Budgeting Tool
Maintaining and continuous process improvement of existing processes and procedure documents

Bachelor in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
Achievement of or near completion of professional qualifications (CA or CPA) will be highly regarded
Over 5 years’ experience in budget preparation and forecasting in a complex commercial environment
Advanced financial analytical and reporting skills with prior experience in accounting or finance functions
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex deliverables on a regular basis inclusive of month end
Sound written and oral communication skills, and the capacity to deal with ambiguity and complex problems
Possess a keen eye for detail
Excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse range of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to prioritise work within tight deadlines
