What this opportunity involves:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Property & Asset Management team for a switched on and driven Finance Manager. You will be a key member of the Finance team with the ability to provide efficient, orderly, and reliable knowledge of property accounting principles and contribute to the efficient handling of all property finance and overseeing the lease administration.
You will work with your peers to provide strategic analysis, advice and recommendations to your clients and internal stakeholders that influence the outcomes for the properties.
This role will be based in Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.

Snapshot of the role:
Month-end accounting, including accruals, outgoings recovery calculations and outgoings disputes, percentage rent calculations, extended trade calculations and manage audit processes included lease, outgoings and sales
Assisting the Centre Manager in the preparation, completion and delivery of budgets and business months
Monthly management reporting of variance to budget
Liaise with Centre Managers and their teams on financial reporting matters, including providing financial analysis to drive better outcomes, conducting regular meetings with Centre teams on the delivery of finance responsibilities
Manage expenses in line with property forecast and budget
Oversee the maintenance of tenant records and tenant charges in accordance with the client’s processes
Conduct account reconciliations for tenant accounts and ensure tenant invoices and charges on tax invoices are correct
Assist and review lease administration document where required
Assist in reporting of tenant arrears, including monthly consolidated reporting and arrears profiling
CAPEX reporting, including conducting regular meetings to update on project delivery status

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
Achievement or near completion of professional qualifications (CA / CPA) will be highly regarded
Prior experience in retail property accounting experience will be an added advantage
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex deliverables on a daily basis, inclusive of month end
Sound interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and rapport with all levels of stakeholders and clients alike
Sound written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate ideas effectively
A high degree of independence is required on a day-to-day basis but also an effective team player
