The Work…

This person will directly to our supportive Principal and will:

· Develop and maintain a developmentally appropriate, inquiry-focused, and joyful classroom.

· Engage students in active, multisensory, and engaging learning

· Provide instruction and support in foundational skills, such as critical thinking, social emotional competencies, problem solving, self-advocacy, and community-building

· Recognize and support each student’s strengths, needs, and ways of thinking and learning; meaningfully assess and evaluate student progress

· Partner with families, including offering home-visits, creating weekly newsletters, and reaching out with personalized communication

· Demonstrate a commitment to continuous life-long learning

· Participate in faculty meetings, in-house professional development days, special events, and in the designated work days before the start and after the end of the school year

Comfortable Work Schedule:

• For 60% Part time Position – 28 hours per week – (4th grade teacher): We can be flexible with YOUR needs!
• For Full Time Position (4th grade teacher AND Library): 7:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Thursday, with 2:30pm dismissal for students on Fridays
