Responsibilities:

• Support VP of Design in inception and design of the collection
• Create mood boards and fabric/Prints/color palettes by delivery.
• Oversee selection of fabric and trims for the collection. 
• Concept and develop innovative construction and finishing.
• Direct Associate Designer in all sketching, draping, swatch development (finishing and construction) and fittings.
• Responsible for development workflow and calendar.  Communicate all necessary information to each team as necessary.
• Work with VP of Merchandising to adhere to merchandising plan and communicate with merchandising team as styles evolve to ensure that the collection is fulfilling plan.
• Be aware of trends in the designer contemporary market, visiting stores.
• Fabricate all styles by fabric and color.
• Work with Product Development team to develop each sample to its fullest potential.
• Adhere to calendar and communicate with advanced noticed of issues hitting target dates.
• Attend production fittings when necessary.
• Oversee design of all Special Projects (Capsule collections, VIP and misc projects)
• 7+ years of experience in a management position.
• Creative and innovative sketching, design and conceptualization skills.
• Ability to design around concepts.
• Thorough knowledge of fabrication, silhouettes, color ways, construction techniques and trim.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and managerial skills.
• Position will start on December 21.
• Must have photoshop and illustrator experience.
• Must come from Design background.
