Project Engineer

Location: Plymouth, Devon (Hybrid Working)

Contract Length: 6 Months (Inside IR35)

Rate Negotiable

This is a key role providing support to the project team in delivery of schedule, technical scope, contractual, financial and risk management functions.

The Marine Sector delivers a wide array of complex through-life marine engineering services. Ranging from UK and international naval fleet support, commercial marine, engineering consultancy, weapons handling, equipment support, intelligence, cyber security and training delivered through unique owned and managed infrastructure to defence and civil customers across the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the technical and project team in development of requirements, project scope and solutions for specific work packages.
• Translate supply chain reporting into useable data to inform planning, monitoring and control of work packages.
• Provide input to cost and budget monitoring.
• Develop Stakeholder management and communications plans.
• Contribute to the risk process including the identification, assessment, planning and implementation of risks, opportunities and issues.

Criteria:

• The candidate must have experience of working within a project environment, ideally with NEC contract experience.
• The project will be on the Nuclear Licensed site and therefore experience in delivery of Nuclear safety implicated structures, equipment or services would be of benefit.
• HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• APM project management qualification (or equivalent).
• IOSH (desirable).
