The Team:

The Global Equities Business Strategy & Management Team is a highly consultative team that provides direct support to the senior management team and business leaders. Reporting directly to the EMEA Equities Chief Operating Officer, the focus of the team spans: Financial Management, Financial Analysis and Reporting, Strategic Initiatives, Business Development, Client Management, Internal and External Communications, Client Marketing, Technology Development & Project Management, and New Business Opportunities.

The Role:

An opportunity exists for a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join the team in London. The role requires a person who is focused on learning the business processes and owning the analytical due diligence from the internal suite of touchpoints ranging from business transactions to operational settlement.

The core function of the role is data manipulation and reporting across all business lines within the Equities division – with scope to expand into all aspects of business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to COO and business requests for reporting in relation to revenue, expenses, capital and forecasting, on a regular or ad hoc basis
  • Partner with global infrastructure functions such as Treasury, Finance, Operations, Legal & Compliance, etc. and business stakeholders to deepen business analysis and manage processes around the dissemination and analysis of reporting
  • Regularly review and analyse reports: P&L / trading / market share / accounts / client profitability
  • Produce MI using a variety of reporting tools
  • Review and manipulate internal and external data sources
  • Support the COO on day-to-day business management tasks across the Equities business
Qualifications

  • Data manipulation and reporting skills
  • Ability to analyse large datasets and present concise conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and ability to develop relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Equities is desirable
  • VBA & Access Database skills are highly advantageous
