Data Entry Specialist – Job Description

Position Summary:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for entering client information into our electronic storage system, updating existing entries, and organizing hard copies of information appropriately. You will be in charge of reviewing and correcting any data errors, as well as communicating with management about any inconsistencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collects and digitizes data from various sources including employee attendance, headcount forecasts, data relating to other production needs
• Maintains a detailed and organized storage system to ensure data entries are complete and accurate
• Establishes data entry standards by continually updating filing systems to improve data quality
• Addresses data inconsistencies by working with administrative staff to locate missing data
• Tends to data queries and ing any major data errors to management
• Adheres to best data management practices and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency

Basic Qualifications – Required:

• Must be at least 21 years old per state law

• A high school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience as a data entry specialist
• 1+ years of experience in a HR related role
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel
• Must possess a high attention to detail

Additional Qualifications – Preferred:

• Ability to work and collaborate with other staff members
• Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent typing skills and experience working with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
