Wage range: $21-$31hr + $1.25hr shift premium

Shift: Monday-Thursday 10hr shifts 3PM-1:15AM

Job Summary

The senior CNC Machinist is responsible for complex setups and operation of multi axis CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience with 2-5 axis machining including setup and operation of CNC milling equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Setup and operation of various CNC vertical/horizontal mills
• FANUC/Heidenhain/SIEMENS controllers
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
• Machine parts to tight tolerances and verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments
• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances and complete inspection records as required
• Document & record relevant updates for work instructions
• Deburring and maintain part cleanliness and quality through packaging and handling
• Assist with preparing tooling and fixturing for upcoming jobs
• Assist with troubleshooting job related issues for operators
• Maintain direct work area and CNC machine for cleanliness
• Assist with 5S and organizational initiatives
• Attend employee meetings and safety talks as required
• Perform other tasks as required

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in CNC machining environment-REQUIRED
• Ability to perform physical labour
• Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
• Mastercam experience would be an asset
• Forklift and Crane experience considered an asset
• Have a working understanding of the ISO 9001 quality management system
• Have a working understanding of OH&S Legislation and Health & Safety best practice as they apply to the manufacturing industry
• Possess problem solving skills through good judgement and machining experience
• Available to work overtime as business demand requires
• Have excellent organizational / time management skills; attention to detail
• Possess computer skills and competency in MS Word, Excel and Job boss
• Certificate of Qualification for General Machinist or Tool and Die maker
