Commercial Manager – Green Gas

Location: Eastern Seaboard (NSW, VIC, QLD)

We are currently supporting a leading Australian renewable energy company that develops, operates and owns renewable energy assets in Australia.

This company is making an incredible impact in Australia’s Energy Transition and is currently searching for a Commercial Manager to oversee their Gas portfolio.

You will be responsible for procurement, contract management, commercial strategy for the Gas portfolio, overseeing contract management, negotiation and finalisation.

The Commercial Manager will be required to have comprehensive experience across gas markets including LNG, commodity markets or power generation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver commercial strategies, commercial and financial management, contract reviews, risk management and supporting the project portfolio.
• Develop a gas position to support key importation and firming assets.
• Lead the negotiation of standard terms and service level agreements with key suppliers and consultants and the resolution of contractual issues or disputes.
• Oversee the finalisation of major delivery contracts for operational assets.
• Lead and coordinate the procurement of developments, consulting, construction, operations and maintenance-related contracts and manage the tendering process, evaluation and selection of suppliers, and the contractual negotiations.

Experience:

• 5+ years as a commercial manager, with solid experience in commercial and contract management on complex infrastructure, engineering or maintenance projects.
• Experience across gas markets including LNG, commodity markets or power generation.
• Proven experience of contract strategy, negotiation, administration during project development, delivery and operation.
• Knowledge of EPC contracts, and general procurement and commercialisation principles.
• Renewable Energy knowledge / experience is an advantage.
• Ability to be adaptable and lead commercial negotiation in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills and experience, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Education in Engineering, Business, or equivalent commercial experience.
