JCPC is Looking for Bookkeeper – Part Time Full Time

JCPC is a growing bookkeeping and accounting practice dedicated to helping entrepreneurs focus on growing their business and their “why” by easing some of the pain of running their business. We operate as an extension of our client’s team and our focus is on efficiency, accuracy, compliance and providing timely information for decision making.

We are looking for a Team Member who is willing to wear many hats with the primary focus on bookkeeping and payroll for our clients.

Responsibilities:

· Full cycle bookkeeping

· Bi-weekly payroll runs

· Process documentation

· Efficiency assessments

· HST/GST/PST returns as applicable

· Prepare T4/T5 Slips

This role requires a home office; we are a remote team utilizing video conferencing and online messaging systems. Our Team Members must be very comfortable communicating via email as well as picking up the phone for a voice conversation. Although it is a remote working position we are looking for someone in the Airdrie/Calgary area.

Qualities and skills we would like to see:

· Experience with Quickbooks Online

· Desire to find better ways of doing things

· Interest in learning new apps and productivity tools

· Experience documenting processes

· Solid understanding of the Alberta Employment Standards Act

· Experience using Office 365, Sharepoint, Clickup, Hubdoc, Dext, BQE Core

This is a part-time role that is flexible. It will require 20-30 hours per week to start and may evolve into more for the right candidate. The person in this role needs to do most of the work during regular working hours (9 am – 5 pm) however days and times are very flexible so long as deadlines are met. We are open to offering this as a Contractor or Employee position.
