At J.B. Hunt, we are creating the most efficient transportation network in North America. It takes world-class talent to make that happen and our Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the strategy and execution of acquiring that talent for non-driving positions.

With the goal of creating value for our customers and shareholders through talented employees, the Director, Talent Acquisition leads a team of approximately 100 talent acquisition professionals, encompassing recruitment marketing, sourcing, selection, hiring and university relations. This person serves as the main contact for VPs and SVPs across the Enterprise.

Day-to-day, they are primarily responsible for leadership and strategy-based work, supported by effectiveness metrics. This role reports directly to Vice President, Talent Management and sits on the HR Management team.

This position is located at JBHT Corporate Office in Northwest Arkansas (Lowell), a metro population of approximately 550,000 and rapidly growing, fueled by three Fortune 500 companies being headquartered in the area. The region is renowned for its economic and lifestyle attributes. Cost of living is also 10% below national average.

Key Responsibilities

• Align and partner with business leadership to determine how talent acquisition enables the business strategy.
• Hire, develop and motivate a team of diversely talented recruitment professionals.
• Design and develop talent acquisition strategies that create value and are adopted and executed consistently and efficiently.
• Maintain a high-performing and fun culture that enables the organization to deliver exceptional candidate and stakeholder experiences throughout the entire talent acquisition process.
• Develop, implement and analyze recruitment metrics to track effectiveness of programs, sources and technology; use metrics to drive recruiter performance, allocate resources and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Provide oversight for recruitment vendor strategy and utilization.
• Own and manage recruitment budget.

Qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university and ten years relevant experience; or twelve years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
• 5+ years management experience
• Fortune 500 experience
• Workday Recruiting product experience
