Position Summary:
Coordinates and leads the company’s overall collection and cash applications activities. This position also assists in the design and implementation for various processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Leads and coordinates all collection and cash application functions for the company.
• Lead, develop and train collection and credit application staff.
• Work closely with Division heads and sales to ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issues quickly resolved.
• Reduce collection cycle times (DSO) where possible.
• Assist in monitoring, tracking & enforcing department policies, procedures & goals.
• Monitor cash receipts and application of adjustments to customer accounts.
• Daily review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding.
• Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad-debt status to account.
• Work with credit analyst to hold/release sales orders in accordance with internal rules and regulations.

• In cooperation with Accounting manage information requests during year-end audits and also respond to requests for information during internal audits from parent company.
• Special projects and tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and any additional vaccinations against COVID-19

recommended by health officials during your employment.

• Must work full-time onsite at the Javits Center.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or university and ten years related experience and/or the equivalent combination of training and experience which indicates the ability to do the job.
• Familiarity with computer accounting systems; Oracle experience a must.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel.
• Good organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with staff at various levels. Attention to detail and accuracy a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
