Jason Rout Photography Studios is Looking For Photograph Editor (C) at Remote Full Time

Job brief:
We are looking for a talented photo editor to coordinate assignments by selecting, editing photos in a variety of styles that are appealing to the clients’ overall look. Styles may include Modern High Contrast, Brilliant Colours, and a Natural look.

The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with the Studio’s Event Specialist and photographers to decide on which photos will be published and ensure deadlines are met.

Ultimately, you should be able to create photo content to ensure a beautiful, timeless product in a creative way.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the team members to identify photography needs

Review photos, edit and make necessary changes

Decide which images to publish, culling for the most part will be done before submission to the editor

Ensure all assignments are edited on time for publication

Manipulate photos to achieve highest quality using the appropriate tools.

Liaise with photographers and advertising reps and advise on future projects and techniques.

Stay up to date with new image editing technologies.

Requirements and skills:
Proven work experience as a photo editor

Solid experience with digital technology and photo editing software packages (e.g. Photoshop, Pixlr and Affinity Photo)

Strong photo editing skills and excellent portfolio, the portfolio is required before hiring to ensure it matches our high-quality demand.

Thorough knowledge of computer imaging, photographic techniques, studio management and color composition

Creative mind with an eye for detail and storytelling skills

Time-management and leadership skills

Training through school preferred but training in experience is considered according to the portfolio submitted.

Remuneration:
Photos will be paid by the submitted final photo at a rate of $0.15 per photo. For example: 1000 pictures edited and submitted would yield $150.
