Jardeg is seeking Instrumentation Technicians to join us at the CNRL Horizon site. Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders that have been executing work at the Horizon site for over a decade. Our shift schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off rotation working 11.5 hours per day. This gives our employees a great work life balance with the benefit of an overtime schedule. Overtime is paid at time and a half for anything worked over 8 hours per day and anything worked over 40 hours per week. We have two major turnarounds and several smaller outages throughout the year. Have the benefit of consistent long-term work by joining our maintenance team with the financial benefit of working outages and turnarounds throughout the year if you want the additional overtime.

Flights and accomodations are set up with our people in the forefront. Richardson Camp is the accomodations provided and is within walking distance to the site footprint, so no long commute times added to your day. Every room has a private washroom. The camp has several amenities to enjoy whether it’s starting your day with a nice cup of Starbucks coffee, spending your evening in one of the gyms, playing sports or watching a movie in the theatre room, there is something for everyone.

Increased Rates

CNRL Horizon site has increased CLAC rates effective January 1, 2023.

Instrument technicians install, maintain and repair the measuring and control devices used in industrial and commercial processing. Instrument Technicians work with a wide variety of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer devices used to measure and control pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition.

Responsibilities Include:

• Be able to take directions, and receptive to training and mentoring, with a strong team focus and mentality
• Tubing experience
• Moderate to strong abilities with Microsoft office, outlook and other proprietary software that may be needed on site.
• Experience with DCS systems and control hierarchy (preferably Delta V, AMS and control studio).
• Commissioning and configuring of instruments considered an asset.
• Expertly read and comprehend drawings, specifications, P&ID’s, ILPs and isometrics
• Expert tool usage
• Highly proficient with electronic dead weight testers (Crystal), process meters (Fluke 744/754 or equivalent), Ralston pumps, TREX/475 field communicators and other forms of simulating testing equipment
• Implement safe work practices and procedures
• Maintain exceptional workmanship habits
• Experience with a multitude of instrument manufacturers such as Rosemount, VEGA, Krohne, Flowserve, Metso, Fisher, Yokogawa and others
• Expert knowledge of Hazardous location requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Journeyperson and/or holds a valid recognized credential
• CSO (Common Safety Orientation) or CSTS-09
• Confined Space Entry (OSSA or ESC equivalent)
• Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA or ESC equivalent)
• Valid Government Issued Identification
• Valid Drivers Licence and 3 year Drivers abstract
