The role:

The purpose of the role is to support the finance team by having full responsibility for accounts payable across the Group and ensuring internal efficiencies are made through the standardisation of AP processes across the business.

The Specifics:

• Responsible for overseeing AP across the business
• Managing the Accounts Payable Assistant.
• Managing AP across multiple currencies, ensuring full maintenance of supplier accounts.
• Delivering process improvements and efficiencies within AP and finance.
• Developing appropriate controls for the full end to end AP process.
• Preparing weekly payment runs and presenting to the CFO.
• Ensuring the authority to pay and purchase order processes are adhered to across the business.
• Taking on escalated queries and ensuring first contact resolutions.
• Managing AP helpdesk, ensuring high level of service for all accounts.
• Training customers and colleagues on the relevant processes and procedures for AP.
• Matching Stock to GRNI’s and liaising with the warehouse on discrepancies.
• Responsible for month end closure for both entities within the UK.
• House keeping for both entities – ensuring cash is allocated, invoices rec’d and released to the ledger.
• Main point of contact for supplier escalations and general day to day queries.

The Person:

• 2 years’ minimum of solid experience within AP
• People management experience within an AP role
• Forward thinking with the ability to identify issues and develop a solution.
• Passionate, diligent and always keen to go the extra mile.
• Experience of driving process improvement and implementing efficiencies
• Working within a fast-paced business
