Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports To: Director of HR

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Houston, TX

Role Summary

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will use an innovative, technology infused approach to develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing procedures to attract a diverse and capable pool of applicants for the company. This role reports to the HR Director and works closely with the rest of the HR team.

Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following other duties may be assigned:

• Analyze the talent market for trends and competitiveness in order to develop the most relevant and up to date recruiting strategies
• Facilitate the full recruitment life cycle, with a heavy emphasis on sourcing and screening candidates. Candidate screening can include: phone screens, face to face interviews and web-based interviews.
• Assess departmental needs through interaction with leads in hopes of progressing the companys strategic objectives
• Coordinate a variety of advertising for vacant positions in partnership with our Marketing Department and various third parties, such as Indeed and media corporations
• Coordinate interview schedules with departmental leaders and schedule interviews with applicants
• Ensures that job descriptions for all company positions are updated as necessary to reflect accurate knowledge, skills and abilities, essential functions, preferred minimum qualifications, and educational requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Job Attributes

• Comprehensive knowledge of recruiting practices, processes and procedures including relevant Federal and State laws pertaining to recruitment and employment.
• Must demonstrate high attention to detail, an engaging, enthusiastic, and professional communication style and strong, efficient administrative skills
• Strong initiative, tact
