This is a challenging role which includes accounting judgements, financial reporting, and process improvement and controls excellence, all within a complex global business environment that is embracing digital transformation. The role is a critical role for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of JLR financial accounting and reporting associated with various JLR business functions, across the globe.

• Partner the relevant function (and sub-functions) and GFS to ensure appropriate accounting and reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Provide the relevant content and information into the Audit Committee and Disclosure Committee papers.
• Work alongside the wider team to ensure an aligned, cross-functional approach to addressing the relevant accounting matters, disclosures and reporting of the Group’s Financial Statements.
• Proactively maintain and manage a log of reporting and accounting matters to ensure effective monitoring, escalation and resolution against agreed timelines.
• Proactively engage the auditors to ensure timely and effective delivery of the audit.
• Ensure appropriate SOx framework is considered in all accounting and reporting matters.
• Take on additional ad-hoc project related responsibilities where necessary to provide appropriate guidance to the broader business.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• A qualified professional capable of numerical analysis for accounting
• Proficiency in use of MS office
• Strong communication skills
• Strong team management skills
• Experience in multinational companies
• Automotive experience will be a plus
