Postal Operations who are part CSPB and who in turn are part of the HR Function work together with Courier & Freight Operations to help provide a daily and comprehensive inter site postal delivery and collection service for the business. Deliveries and collections include many items of mail which can include legal correspondence, prototype parts and parcels.
Postal Operations assist the Courier and Freight department wherever possible by carrying out collections and deliveries therefore avoiding any additional external transportation costs to the business.
The successful applicant will work with the Postal Supervisor based at our Whitley site working a regular Day Shift, Monday – Friday 44 hours per week.
The successful candidate would be given training over a number of weeks to enable them to carry out their duties.
There will also be a need to be flexible and be able to work at other sites as and when required to do so covering holidays and absence.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll join us with knowledge of Postal Operational processes and Royal Mail services including Royal Mail OBA and Royal Mail click and drop is preferred but not essential as this will be covered in the training that will be given.
Good people skills will be required and there will be a need to work and interact with all levels of the business, as well as external customers and suppliers / partners.
You’ll have the ability to work effectively as part of a small team is vital and be able to use their own initiative when needed to do so.
Ideally, you’ll be competent in IT, especially the use of the latest Microsoft Operating computer systems used within JLR are preferable.
A valid full vehicle driving licence and a Company Driving Permit is essential.
