This is a challenging role focusing on technical accounting judgements, financial reporting processes improvement and controls excellence, all within a complex global business environment that is embracing digital transformation. The role is a critical role for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of JLR financial accounting and reporting associated with various business functions (including Purchasing and Legal).

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering the relevant function (and sub-functions) to ensure appropriate accounting of complex matters
  • Providing the relevant content and information into the Audit Committee and Disclosure Committee papers.
  • Working alongside the Group Reporting team to ensure appropriate disclosure of the relevant accounting matters in the Group’s Financial Statements.
  • Proactively maintain and manage a RAID log of technical accounting matters (Global Accounting Topics – “GAT”) associated with the various functions.
  • Proactively engage the auditors working on accounting matters affecting the Functions
  • Ensuring appropriate SOx framework is considered in all accounting matters and accounting advice to the function considers control implications.
  • Taking on additional ad-hoc project related responsibilities where necessary to provide appropriate IFRS guidance to the broader business and also into the Group Reporting team


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A qualified professional capable of numerical analysis for accounting
  • An understanding of IFRS9
  • An understanding of Sarbanes Oxley controls environment
  • Proficiency in use of MS office
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong team management skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in multinational companies
  • Automotive experience will be a plus
