JAG Building Group is a commercial general contracting company that specializes in retail and restaurant tenant improvement and remodels and is licensed all across the USA. We are searching for a full time Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations. Candidate will report to the owner.

Responsibilities:

· Compile information for monthly sales tax by state and annual tax returns

· Accounts Payable; posting invoices, printing checks

· Journalize general ledger activity

· Prepare bank reconciliation

· Prepare & review monthly financial statements extrapolate trends and information.

· Provide crucial business insights and advice for how better manage costs

· Extrapolate trends

Qualifications:

· Construction related business experience REQUIRED

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree is required.

· Minimum 5 years bookkeeping and data entry experience using QuickBooks software (QB on-line preferred)

· Communication skills (phone & email) correspondence with sub-contractors regarding; PO’s and lien waivers

· Must have a friendly helpful attitude

· Must be willing to work in a fast pace environment and multi-task.

· Extensive experience with Excel

Work Location: You work from our headquarters in Estero, FL

Compensation: Commensurate with work experience.
