We are currently seeking a Junior Process and Conveyance Engineer to support our Vancouver team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with different engineering departments during the conceptual, preliminary, construction and start-up phases of the project. Your pride in producing accurate, high-quality, and practical designs will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.

Responsibilities:
Performs calculations such as mass balances and equipment sizing, line sizing, hydraulic / pump sizing, relief valve calculation and flare sizing, material selections, plot plan inputs, plant classifications, and stress/strain calculations for steel pipe selection

Assist in the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment and/or instrument data sheets and lists, process control shut down keys

Assists in alignment selection for linear projects

Assists in Chamber or Pump Station layout and design

Performs process simulations on various software as required

Assists other engineers or technologists in preparing conceptual project designs, reports, and proposals for process systems, structures, and equipment

Collaborates with vendors and subcontractors to interpret project specifications and other contract criteria

Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors and provides recommendations

Checks and reviews the design and calculation on vendor supplied equipment to ensure compliance with specifications

Provides input to and/or maintains records for equipment and components

Resolves problems using standard engineering procedures and previously developed methods

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Post-secondary education with a degree in Engineering

Licensed P.Eng in the province of British Columbia

Water and wastewater treatment experience will be considered an asset

Conveyance experience will be considered an asset

Fundamental understanding and application of engineering codes, engineering department procedures, design standards, and guidelines applicable to discipline

Field or site experience is desirable

Good problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment in analyzing information

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team

Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proficient with MS Office suite with the ability to learn new software programs quickly”
