Our ANZ HSE team are seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator based in Brisbane to provide leadership and support for our local area management team and the wider ANZ business for Health, Safety and Environment and our Culture of Caring. By driving compliance with Jacobs’ Business Management System (BMS) and the requirements of our Australian and International standards accreditation, you will play a key role in ensuring we provide outstanding service delivery to our clients.

Under your visible and consistent leadership, you will support our senior business leaders, Project Managers (PMs), Designated Project Executives (DPEs) and operational teams to meet our key HSE requirements and ensure we live up to our promise of looking after our people, clients, community and the environment. We want someone who loves to build business relationships and influence people to ensure positive outcomes for HSE in Jacobs.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Professional Safety qualification (preferred) including Advanced Diploma in HSE, Incident Investigation training, Lead Auditor training or similar
• Previous experience in the construction sector is highly desirable but not essential
• Experience at building business relationships and people leadership
• Knowledge of Principle Contractor management and associated risks
• Experience of construction activities to support field teams preferred
• Understanding of project risk management procedures and processes
• Understanding of HSE legislation, statutes and key Codes of Practice, in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and how to adequately research project requirements
• Knowledge of compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support HSE systems
• Knowledge of investigation and reporting requirements under local jurisdictions in ANZ
• Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects
• Experience conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
• Ability to write technical safety documents including reports, HSE plans, and safety arguments
• Skill in identifying HSE improvements to systems, processes and/or products within a project
• Effective skills in common computer software packages for word processing, spreadsheets and communication including emailing and platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
