Capitol Distributing is looking to add an Accounting Manager to our team. This position will assist in the preparation of financial statements, develop processes and internal controls, and supervise team members. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all responsibilities and qualifications listed below.

What will I do as the Accounting Manager?

• Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and other management reports.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Works with multiple departments to identify and document processes and internal controls, making proposals for improvement.
• Collaborates and assists external auditors.
• Assists in maintaining financial reporting software, coordinating system updates and training, and continuous improvement of report integrity and design.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or audit experience required.
• 1+ year management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting, cost accounting, and/or internal audit.
• An understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• A high proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with flowcharts and documenting processes is a plus.
• The ability to sit for long periods of time.
• The ability to work in office setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
