Job Summary
Jackson Taylor is seeking a qualified Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with little oversight in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Essential Functions

• Accounts Payable – (Primary Function) Review invoice coding for accuracy, assist with payment processing, reconcile vendor statements. Ensure all transactions are recorded in our accounting system to the correct job site.
• Independently problem solve and research invoice and payment issues
• Work with multiple software systems
• Assist with company travel arrangements.
• Reconcile company-related credit cards.
• Occasionally answer incoming phone calls, and forwarding calls to appropriate recipients
• Maintaining office supplies and placing orders when inventory is low
• Willingness and ability to cross train in other tasks, as needed.

Competencies

• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ability to learn other software as needed
• Ability to proof and correct work before finalized
• Exceptional telephone etiquette and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and work independently to complete assigned duties in a high-volume and deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and/or accounting coursework preferred. High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of related experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping preferred

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience with Foundations software

Position Type and Hours
This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. Standard business hours are Monday-Friday from 8am – 5pm.

• Infrequently lifting or moving items 20 pounds or more.
