Jackson Hogg are currently looking to recruit a HR and Payroll Coordinator for a fantastic growing business based in Seaham.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager your duties will be:

Human Resources

• First point of contact for all day-to-day HR enquiries
• Provide advice, support and guidance to Managers on areas such as disciplinary and grievance, absence management, performance management and any other ER related issues
• Manage offers of employment and the onboarding process
• Ensuring right to work documentation is received, and references are obtained.
• Maintain and update HR files and databases
• Manage the entire recruitment and selection process
• Contributing to the development of HR policies and template documents as requested
• Manage the administrative process of the employee lifecycle
• Carry out exit interviews, issuing any concerns to the Directors
• Supporting the commercial manager with any adhoc duties

Payroll Duties

• Processing both weekly and monthly payroll
• Responsible for monthly reporting to support payroll processing
• Authorising timesheets across the business
• Responsible for approving payslips
• Dealing with employee payroll queries
• Administration of new starters and leavers
• Calculating and administrating holiday pay entitlement
• Ensuring all monthly payroll adjustments are processed including starters, leavers, sickness, maternity and paternity pay

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working in a HR and Payroll environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Organised, with a methodical approach to work.
• Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and GDPR.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
